Alright, so we did not get a winner last week, but let’s not forget that we are still picking winners at a .333 average and those are hall of fame type numbers. Now I realize we are still in the red (-$144) for the year but that changes this week.
This week the tour is staying out on the west coast and heading to the 2020 Genesis Invitational (Pacific Palisades, California @ Riviera Country Club) and this event is setting up to be a great one. Annually one of the most loaded events of the year outside of the majors and it is not letting us down this year with almost all of the heavy hitters in action.
The Genesis Invitational will honor Kobe Bryant (RIP) on the 8th hole. Honoring the Black Mamba and everything that he stood for. The Mamba Mentality is a mindset for constant self-improvement in the pursuit of your highest potential in life.
Hollywood doesn’t write scrips for nobody’s and this week I’m going with a very top heavy lineup, in my opinion this will not be a tournament when a long shot wins. Now I understand when we typically are making these $100 cards that we want to have some long shots but trust me it’s not happening this week.
Quick Notes
- Tiger Woods is currently #8 in the world, Kobe Bryant wore number 8. Too easy.
- Brooks Koepka shows up whenever he feels like it and the could be an atmosphere that brings out “Majors Brooks”, especially after losing his #1 ranking.
- Tony Finau, I will be betting him every week until he wins. The man is due.
